Konark Public School, Shahdara, Delhi celebrated its annual day with great enthusiasm. The attraction of the event was the dancing of the students on songs such as water saving pom pom.
The guest of honour for the event was Vedprakash Panchal, chairman of National Victor Public School, while counsellor Mukesh Bansal and RK Das, chairman of New Era Convent School graced the occasion among other guests.
The students performed a play titled Aarambhai Prachand in which the girls portrayed the courage of Rani Lakshmibai. They also presented a heart-touching play on the theme of importance of parents, highlighting the pain of parents living in old age homes. The play struck the emotional heartstrings of the audience.
Moreover, the students also presented a play on women empowerment, highlighting the strength of women. Other attractions of the event were the patriotic songs presented by the students such as Sandes Aate Hai, Main Lad Jaana and Tujhe Salam, which lightened the patriotic spirit of the audience. The students also performed many folk dances like Gidda and Pahadi which received applause and appreciation from the audience.
